Me and My Blog

I am a busy, married, working mum of grown up children who still live at home. I’ve started this blog to share recipes, reviews, tips, craft projects, travel stories and money saving ideas.

In the past, I have reviewed books, cds, dvds and other products for magazines and online forums/websites. I have written articles and supplied photos that have been included in books and cd booklets and I run several Facebook pages for bands. These in turn have led to me assisting a well known footwear company with their advertising campaigns and new product designs.  I even wrote an online “book” once about growing up in the 70s and 80s, back in the days of Myspace.

I have always been a Savvy Shopper and and a Bargain Hunter and enjoy going to car boot sales with my dad to find “projects”, mostly furniture or clothes. I get great pleasure (and quite often a lot of frustration) out of modifying something that someone no longer has use for into something unique that can be loved and used again. I will share some of these projects with you.

Last year I went on a real mission to reduce hefty bills like insurance and entertainment packages and it’s amazing what you can do with a bit of time, know-how and effort.  I also do couponing and cashback with my grocery shopping. So as I lead a fairly frugal lifestyle in most areas, I am able to indulge in my other passion – travel! It was the comments received from my holiday diary of a recent road trip to America that made me decide to get this blog up and running.  I had put so much time and effort into researching the trip that I thought if would be a shame to keep all that info to myself, plus people wanted to know more about it.

If I find something that’s worth shouting about I won’t keep it to myself!  So here goes, hope you enjoy reading and you find something useful from it.

THANKS FOR READING. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE FACEBOOK PHOTO ALBUMS AND FOLLOW THE BLOG FOR MORE REVIEWS, TIPS, RECIPES AND TRAVEL STORIES.
